Sails wins GOLD at Tourism Awards 

Sails Restaurant and Function Centre Scoops Two Category Awards and overall Judge’s Gold Award in
2011 Moreton Bay and Islands Tourism Awards

Sails Restaurant and Function Centre has proven itself as a local business and tourism winner again this year, taking out three recent awards in the 2011 Moreton Bay and Islands Tourism Awards. This year’s win follows last year’s win of two awards showing further recognition of Sails’ ongoing contribution to the tourism sector.

Sails won the awards for Meetings and Business Tourism and Best Restaurant and Catering Service, recognizing both its Function Centre’s and restaurant’s contributions to tourism within the Moreton Bay region through the provision of its high quality business conference and events venue and its waterfront restaurant offering a unique dining destination for tourists and locals. The award submissions also won the Judges’ Gold Award for the highest number of points for an award submission.

The awards recognise Sails Restaurant and Function Centre’s relentless determination to use its unique location, venue and restaurant offerings to promote the area to business visitors and tourists as well as engage with local residents and businesses.
